Advertising & Marketing Coordinator

Reports To: Communications Director
Location: Fully remote / virtual
Time Commitment: 4–8 hours per week (flexible schedule with regular budget monitoring and campaign oversight)
Term: One-year renewable volunteer commitment

Position Summary

The Advertising & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the American Solidarity Party’s national advertising and marketing spending.

This role ensures that the National Committee’s advertising budget is used strategically, efficiently, and in full alignment with the party’s brand, messaging, and electoral goals. By managing paid campaigns across digital, social, email, and other channels, the coordinator helps increase visibility, grow membership, support endorsed candidates, and advance the party’s message to targeted audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Budget Management & Planning

  • Develop and maintain the annual national advertising and marketing budget in coordination with the Communications Director and National Committee.

  • Track all advertising expenditures in real time and ensure spending stays within approved limits.

  • Prepare budget forecasts, reallocation recommendations, and end-of-cycle reports.

Campaign Coordination & Execution

  • Plan and execute national advertising campaigns in support of party priorities (membership drives, candidate promotion, issue advocacy, major events, etc.).

  • Work with creative teams to develop or approve ad creatives that meet brand standards and accessibility guidelines.

  • Manage ad placements across platforms including Meta, Google, YouTube, email service providers, and other channels as appropriate.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor campaign performance using platform analytics and third-party tools.

  • Analyze key metrics (reach, engagement, conversions, cost-per-result, ROI) and provide regular reports to the Communications Director and Executive Director.

  • Recommend optimizations and adjustments to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Compliance & Brand Alignment

  • Ensure all advertising complies with Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations, platform policies, and internal party guidelines.

  • Maintain consistent use of approved brand assets, messaging, and disclaimers across all paid content.

  • Coordinate with legal/compliance volunteers when required for disclaimers or reporting.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with the Executive Director and/or Visual Design & Branding Coordinator to ensure ad creatives are on-brand and accessible.

  • Collaborate with the social media team, email marketing team, and state chapter leaders on coordinated campaigns.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the National Committee and any external advertising vendors or consultants.

Vendor & Platform Management

  • Manage relationships with advertising platforms and any paid service providers.

  • Evaluate new tools, platforms, or vendors that could improve reach or cost-effectiveness.

  • Maintain organized records of all campaigns, creatives, and performance data.

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with experience managing budgets or campaigns.

  • Familiarity with major digital advertising platforms (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, etc.) and basic analytics tools.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work with financial tracking and reporting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Understanding of political advertising regulations (FEC rules) or willingness to learn quickly.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with creative and content teams.

  • Commitment to the American Solidarity Party’s mission and values.

Preferred

  • Prior experience managing advertising or marketing budgets for a political campaign, party, nonprofit, or small business.

  • Hands-on experience running paid social or search campaigns with measurable results.

  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms and segmentation strategies.

  • Familiarity with the American Solidarity Party’s brand, values, and communications goals.

  • Basic graphic design skills or experience briefing designers is a plus.
