Abortion: The Great Contradiction

The Bible’s book of Proverbs states, “Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, ‘But we knew nothing about this,’ does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Doesn't he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?,” (Proverbs 24:11-12, New International Version).

This implies that we, as humans, should protect another’s life when it is in jeopardy, and if we willingly lack action then we are to face consequences and judgement from God, if scripture is telling the truth. It does not take much action to save a life but plenty of courage.

The time we have here on Earth is not that long, and it is our most valuable essence. Human life is sacred, and I think we should all agree that it should be protected at all costs. 

Abortion is one of the greatest contradictions to this statement. The procedure happens about 1,000,000 times every single year in the United States. That is a staggering number alone, and every single one of them represents a human life. The killing of a baby would be considered inhumane in any other circumstance, but many people will just put that aside when talking about abortion. 

If our laws should stand for what is morally good, then why is abortion regularized across our country?  Killing a pregnant woman is double homicide in the United States, which is common sense, but how is it that nobody receives consequences for abortion? America does not need better healthcare or finances for a child to be born, but we need compassion for the mute children in the womb. They are in jeopardy at this very second, yet many people treat those very babies like they’re a tapeworm or something worse.

So, if you have courage like me or many other members in the American Solidarity Party, then stand with us to see an even more glorious future of our country through the power of Christ, who will save the lives of many, both the born and the pre-born.
