A statement on President Trump’s blasphemy

Decades of voting for the lesser of two evils has placed a man of lawlessness in the White House who blasphemes against the Lord and attacks the Pope for preaching the gospel and prompting peace.  Perhaps the lowly are blameless for picking from the poor choices on offer, but faithful men and women of means and education should think about the questions St. Peter may ask at the holy gates.  How can those called to be salt and light in a dark world continue to give their voice, their funds, and their support to one of Satan’s teams?  Should we not stand with the Prince of Peace against those who start unjust wars?

In 1901, Pope Leo XIII endorsed Christian Democracy in Graves de Communi Re as a Christian alternative to the liberal, socialist, and reactionary movements of his day.  The American Solidarity Party is based in the tradition of Christian Democracy, and we seek to build a faithful alternative to the liberal, socialist, and reactionary movements of our day.  Do not stand with those who promote the sins that cry out to heaven – stand in solidarity with us.

Chair, National Committee

American Solidarity Party

We are a party that seeks the common good, on common ground, through common sense. We believe in the sanctity of human life, the necessity of social justice, our responsibility to care for the environment, and promotion of a more peaceful world. We cherish the individual rights and separation of government powers protected by the U.S. Constitution, and recognize the need for social supports and community cohesion. We seek to bridge the bitter partisan divide with principled and respectful policies and dialog.
