Nathan Tataje

Wisconsin General Assembly, District 51

(November 3, 2026)

Nathan Tataje is a longtime Wisconsin resident, working-class citizen, and a dedicated advocate for family stability and local community power. A first-generation American born to immigrant parents from Peru and Nicaragua, Nathan's platform is deeply informed by his family’s journey toward realizing the promises of personal ownership and human dignity.

He brings a grounded, authentic perspective to the race, shaped by real-world labor rather than a career in politics. Having lived in the Madison area, witnessed the economic challenges of the Rust Belt, and ultimately chosen to make his home in rural Arena, Nathan possesses a direct understanding of the economic pressures facing modern working-class households. As the newly elected Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council 7811, his approach to public service is built upon a foundation of faith, fraternal charity, and servant leadership.

Locally, Nathan is committed to practical, structural solutions that protect Southwest Wisconsin from centralized overreach and corporate exploitation. His platform champions a "Restoration Blueprint" for the district, focusing on permanent property tax relief through a dedicated Rural School Endowment, direct financial security for working families, and expanding worker-owned cooperative assets.

Nathan stands firmly for the principle of subsidiarity—an issue informed by watching distant state bureaus and outside commercial interests repeatedly override the zoning authority and decisions of local town and village boards.

An advocate for the careful stewardship of natural resources, he believes that the rapid expansion of large-scale, private infrastructure—such as hyperscale data centers—must never come at the expense of local property values, household utility budgets, or community aquifers.

Nathan is running to bring an elevated, morally consistent alternative to the traditional political duopoly. He is not a career politician, but a neighbor dedicated to breaking through partisan gridlock and delivering true sovereignty back to the kitchen tables of District 51.
